1. What information do we collect?

Account Registration Information.   If you wish to register for an account, we may collect your [email address and password]. [Any third party social media logins?].
 
Payment Information.   As part of our Services, our third party payment processing service provider [StripeAuthorize.net or Paypal] may collect credit card information from you. We do not keep your credit card information.
 
Sales Tax Exemption Certificate.   Blacktread charges sales tax according to the ship-to location only for the US orders. We are happy to set up your account such that your sales tax exemption or resellers permit is used and you are able to purchase from Blacktread without payment of sales tax. Prior to making a purchase you can [fax or email?] us your Sales Tax Exemption Certificate or Reseller's Permit that is provided by your state. Once we have this information on file, we will establish your account as tax exempt. For the first order you may be required to pay the sales tax which will be refunded to you when we have established your sales tax exempt status at Blacktread.

To remove the sales tax from your order, contact us. Provide a resale or exemption certificate from the state of New York before you place an order. Income tax exemption certificate exempting you from federal or state tax do not qualify as sales-tax exemption certificate.

We accept the following as proof of sales tax-exempt status: State & Local Sales and Use tax exemption certificate, Exempt organization certificate, or a Resale certificate
 
 
The resale certificate you send us must show that a particular purchase is for resale.  The tax exemption or reseller certificate you send us must include: Your organization's name and address, a dated signature of the authorized representative at your organization, the description of product(s) being purchased, and the order number in case the order has been placed already.

Make sure that any state-issued document you send us has the following, and is valid on the purchase date: Your organization's name and address, exemption certificate number, certificate date of issue, and the name of the state and agency issuing the exemption certificate.
 
Shipping Information. We collect your shipping address and other relevant contact information so we can ship the products to you.

Blacktread uses technology to provide online customer support and data to improve or customize your shopping experience. 7.  How Does Blacktread Comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act?

Our Services are directed toward a general audience and are not directed at nor intended for use by children.  We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 without parental consent. “Do Not Track” is a feature enabled on some browsers that sends a signal to request tht a web application disabled its tracking or cross-site user tracking. At represent, Blacktread does not respond to or later its practices when a Do Not Track signal is received.
